AMy deepest sympathy to the Cafasso family.
I was very saddened to hear the news of John's passing this morning. I have been greeted every morning for a few years now with John's presence and he never left without saying goodbye. Leaving work one day last year during a snow storm, there was John wiping my car off, I was touched by this but thought I should have been the one cleaning his car off. When I mentioned that to him, he would not hear of it. I would often see him on the weekends while grocery shopping and we would conversate for a few moments. I always looked forward to seeing John no matter where it was as he is such an inspiration and such a gentleman. He will be greatly missed.
Not only was he "Uncle John" but he was a dear friend. He showed me that goals that I thought were impossible to achieve were indeed possible. On our saddest of days we would comfort each other because we understood what the other was going through. There is a piece of my heart that forever belongs to Uncle John.
Jack & family - I am so sorry to hear of your dad's passing. He was a great man and I am thankful I had the opportunity to spend a few moments with him. My heart goes out to you and your family.
John & Family
Sorry for your loss.b
My deepest sympathy to the family of John Cafasso.
John was a true friend to me but more importantly he was a great mentor. He taught me many lessons in life and business that I will never forget. While mentoring me he would begin by saying "two things" and then proceed to give me his sage advice. One of the best nuggets he gave me was "sleep on it" which has helped keep me out of many predicaments. John was a true gentleman and always professional, and of course he was always the best dressed man in our office.
We will miss him.
To the Family of John Cafasso.
John will always be one of my heroes. He and my father were good friends and when I returned to Rochester 40 years ago John was one of the first people my dad introduced me to. The most dapper man in town, kept working to the end and always the gentleman. A great example to us all!! He will be sorely missed.
John and family.
Our thoughts and prayers
are with you at this time.
Dear Janice,
I learned from my sister who lives in East Rochester that your father had died. I write to share your loss. Both are parents are gone and we miss them terribly. The biography shows what a great contribution he made to the community and how much pride you must have in his life.
I hope to talk with you at the reunion in August. I have given my email address if you would like to communicate with me before that.
Again, I am so sorry for your loss.
Fond regards,
Muriel
I was very fortunate to work with Mr. Cafasso for 18 years. A great gentleman has now passed. I used to comment on his ties. He was surprised when I noted that he was wearing a new one. He said laughing, I will have to will you my ties!! He always had a smile for you! So Sorry for your loss. Dee
